En lille samling tips, tricks og ting der er værd at huske hvis du har en Nokia Symbian tlf. (fx. N95 etc) ...

Bemærk - denne artikel handler IKKE om software til din tlf., men er udelukkende en samling tips ifm. brug af Symbian S60.

Bemærk; Jeg har ikke "opfundet" disse tips & tricks - men udelukkende sakset beskrivelserne fra andre steder, for at samle dem til én lang "huskeseddel" for min egen skyld!

Og derfor - vælger du at bruge nogle af disse beskrivelser eller værktøjer på din egen telefon, så er det HELT OG HOLDENT på eget ansvar! Jeg garanterer INTET ifm. brug af nedenstående!

RESET din telefon

Below are tips on how to reset your Nokia Mobile phones:

Soft Reset will clear pending errors and bring your mobile to an initial state by restoring Factory setting. To operate this function on your mobile, the shortcut is: *#7380#

This function apparently works on almost all nokia mobile phones.

It may happen that despite you have restored your mobile to factory setting, the error still exist. In this case, it is recommended that you opt for Hard reset

Enter the code: *#7370# and press Yes to confirm initialization.

Important Notice: It is recommended that you save all important information on your phone (e.g: memo, contacts etc)

There are two methods allowing you to reset your phone to a more unwavering state.

Normal Reset

Using the *#7780#sequence.

It will restore ini files from ROM keeping all your data (themes, 3rd party applications, video, photos, and music files)

Deep Reset

Using the *#7370# sequence.
Completely format phone memory. Default files are cleaned up and rewritten.
Note that data found on memory card will not be altered

How to proceed from there

When using symbian60 v1 based phone such as nokia 7650, 3650 or N gage models these two key sequences can be entered in the same way you dial up a phone number. The phone will prompt you to enter a security code (12345 by default).

On the latest S60 phones you can try a Deep Reset, using the following stepsTurn off the phonePress simultaneously on the green/talk, 3 and * keys and hold the 3 keys.

Turn on your phone

Wait for the onscreen Format message then can release the three keys

This method may also work for Nokia phones that won’t turn on.

Show firmware info

*#0000# gives version, date etc

Nokia Symbian Phone automatically starts Installation when turned on:

When you turn on your Nokia Phone starts Installation and then gives message that it is unable to complete installation. This message is very annoying and it appears every time you turn on your phone or insert memory card.

Here is the Solution: You need Xplore and Drakkarious Application.

Install Drakkarious on your phone, Drakkarious will install three apps: hellocarbide, CapsON and CapsOFF. Start Hellocarbide and press yes every time this will allow to view inside private FOLDER. Now turn off security by executing CapsOFF application.

Start X-plore and in Tools>Configuration menu turn on show hidden files and System Files options.

Now go to memory card view PRIVATE folder on it. There will be Folder inside with the name 10202DCE. Delete all files inside this folder have names with numbers/character that are meaningless.
